Welcome to our website

We are a friendly, four class Church of England primary school in the village of Forncett St. Peter.  Our children are aged from 4 to 11 years and come from a wide surrounding area as well as from the village itself.  In September 2019, we entered into a federation with Carleton Rode CEVA Primary, a neighbouring church school.  This new, close relationship has brought many benefits to both schools.

Here and at our sister school, every child is very important to us whatever their abilities or circumstances and we pride ourselves on knowing them all well as individuals whom we feel privileged to work with.  Our federation’s ethos is founded on the belief that we should love our neighbour as we love ourselves and show this by treating others as we would like to be treated.  This belief is central to all we do as learning communities and makes for two happy and harmonious schools where our children feel safe, settled and ready to learn and grow.  We warmly welcome visits to see us in action.

Please email or telephone us if you would like to know more.

Free School Meals

If your child was having free school meals (FSM) in school because your family are on a low income, the Government will now be providing you with a voucher for £15 a week via the school starting after Easter.  We are setting this up so you should receive them.  If you think you may be entitled to FSM but had not applied, please email the school and we will direct you to the form you need to complete.

Critical Key Workers

If you require childcare for your child/ren because you and your partner are both key workers or you are a single parent and are a key worker, our federation of schools and staff can provide this for you – or signpost you to it if we can’t.  Over the Easter holidays we are using Carleton Rode school as a base.  After this we are not sure which base we will use but we will be open so long as we have staffing.  Please email Judith Jones at head@forncett.norfolk.sch.uk and/or Jon Wheater at jwheater@carletonrode-primary.norfolk.sch.uk to request a place.  We will check our emails several times a day and over the weekends so we know if you need a place for the next working day.

Thank you.

We will be using our running track to clock up as many laps as possible during the course of the day. We will keep a running total and see how far we have managed to run collectively as a school by the end of the day.
If you would like to donate towards this fundraising event, there will be collection pots in each classroom at the start of the day.
