Sports Club
This popular club is run by Premier Education is every Wednesday after school for any child in KS2. The cost is £4.00 per session.
A Year 2 Sports Club is held every Wednesday lunchtime, this is free of charge.
Forncett Clangers – Bell Ringing Group
This group often reconvenes for Christmas performances, children will be notified when the club will be running.
The Forncett Clangers were formed in 2004 by two volunteer mums who recognised a need within the school for a musical group. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Friends of Forncett School, a set of bellplates (‘flat handbells’) was purchased, which are a lightweight alternative to traditional handbells. To date we have performed at many school and village events such as Harvest Festival, the Christmas Concert, Leavers’ Service and at the Village Fete. We have also taken part in a huge range of local events including stage performances, the Long Stratton Christmas Night, visiting local care centres to play Christmas carols for the residents, the Norfolk Music Festival (where we attained Highly Commended), the Wymondham Music Festival and even the odd radio appearance! We are justifiably very proud of our bell ringers, and their achievements so far. They have not only raised the profile of our school, but more importantly have gained confidence, the ability to work as a team and an interest in music that may otherwise have been overlooked. They don’t need to be particularly musical to become involved, just enthusiastic and ready to have lots of fun!
